How can I use my iPod Touch with Linux Mint?

The only thing that kept me behind Linux is one thing my iPod Touch 2G. How could I go to put music and videos on it? What sortware / applications should I use? * I do not need the iTunes Store .. All I need is the ability to put music on it, no special orders or Apps. THANK YOU! Oh, and for some reason, Linux thinks my iPod is a device for photo?

We kids receive no support for Linux. Look, they will not be an easy way to sync touch / iPhone for some time. I'll post some links later but I must sleep. So you know, most of the jailbreak methods of participation, which is now stable, based Unix and Linux.
